How to Support
The Fountain Inn Center for Visual and Performing Arts is in its fourth year! This facility has become a catalyst in Fountain Inn’s downtown revitalization efforts. The Center’s purpose is to provide quality entertainment and educational opportunities for the Upstate of South Carolina. Over the past three years the Center, formerly known as the Fountain Inn Civic Center, has evolved into a quality venue for the visual and performing arts. We are home to three resident companies and a thriving visual and performing arts academy for students of all ages.
Current Programs funded at the Fountain Inn Center
- Four Resident Arts Programs:
- F.I.R.E.:Fountain Inn Repertory Experience resident theatre company at the Civic Center with five companies:
- FIREfly - Youth Theatre for children ages 4 - 12
- WildFIRE - Teen Theatre for middle or high school student
- FIRE - Adult Theatre for people ages 20 - 61
- SpitFIRE - Senior Theatre for people ages 62 and over
- UnderFIRE – Non-musical theatre company for ages 18+
- F.I.C. - The Fountain Inn Chorale offers opportunities in choral performances and participation to citizens of the Upstate of South Carolina.
- F.I.O. - The Fountain Inn Orchestra offer opportunities in orchestra performances and participation to citizens of the Upstate of South Carolina.
- F.I.A.A. - The Fountain Inn Arts Academy is the educational arm of the Civic Center offering classes in visual arts, music, dance, and drama to students of any age.
We host six performing arts series annually:
- INN Series: The INN Series offers opportunities for the Upstate of South Carolina to experience quality entertainment by national artists, comedians, and others.
- Community Journals Chamber Series: The Chamber Series offers opportunities for the Upstate of South Carolina to experience quality Orchestral, Chamber, and Band music performances and participation.
- Fountain Inn Five Series: The Fountain Inn Five Series offers opportunities for the Upstate of South Carolina to experience the Fountain Inn Chorale, Fountain Inn Orchestra, Summer Camp Performances, and Academy Recitals and more all for $5 per performance.
- Bluegrass Series: The Bluegrass Series offers opportunities for the Upstate of South Carolina to experience quality bluegrass entertainment by national artists.
- Tribune Times FIRE Series: The Tribune Times FIRE Series offers opportunities for the Upstate of South Carolina to experience quality Broadway style musicals and plays by our resident theatre company.
- Cultural Series: The Cultural Series offers opportunities for the Upstate of South Carolina to experience multicultural entertainment and festivals.
