The Fountain Inn Arts Academy offers plenty of opportunities for students in the summer.  With full day camps, half day camps and classes there is something for everybody!  Come spend your summer with us!

VISUAL ARTS Summer Classes

These classes will run from June 11 through August 3 - no class the week of July 2 - 6. You can flex your schedule to accomodate vacations, swim team and more.  Students come once per week for two hours.

Multi Media: (Drawing/Painting)

 Supply Kits will be available for purchase at a discounted price. Tuition: $150  (Student must provide supplies.)

These classes run for five weeks beginning June 11 and ending July 16 with no class the week of July 2 - 6.  TUITION:  $100 Per Session (student must supply digital camera).

Pop/Rock Star Camp (Ages 8 - 14) June 4 - 15

Two weeks of fun!  If you’re a fan of Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, and Taylor Swift then you will love our newest summer camp:  POP STAR CAMP!  Learn dance moves and songs from some of the most popular in recent years.  It’s a fun, non-competitive environment where everyone is the star!  Arts Enrichment Topics:  Monday (Art) - Design your Style &  Design Your Logo; Tuesday (Theatre) - Acting the Song & How to Handle the Press; Wednesday (Culinary) - Divalicious Food and Rocking to Health; Thursday (Dance) - Hip Hop Moves & Pop Star Rhythm.  Camp includes all supplies, campers must provide own lunch and snack.

Disney’s Jungle Book Kids! (Ages 5-11) June 18-29

Two weeks of fun!  The jungle is jumpin’ with jazz in this exciting Disney classic!  Join Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie and the gang as they swing their way through madcap adventures and thwart the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan.  Enjoy the experience of creating a show in a fun, non-competitive environment where everyone is the star!  Arts Enrichment Topics:  Monday (Art) - Jungle Art; Tuesday (Music) - Learning the Jungle Beat; Wednesday (Culinary) - Jungle Cooking; Thursday (Dance) - Jungle Movement.  Camp includes all supplies, campers must provide own lunch and snack.

Disney’s Aladdin Kids!  (Ages 5 - 14) July 9 - 20

Two weeks of fun!  Welcome to the marketplace of Agrabah, where we’re about to begin the fantastic tale of the street rat who became  a prince!  Get out your magic carpet and get ready for an enchanting theatrical ride.  Enjoy the experience of creating a show in a fun, non-competitive environment where everyone is the star!  Arts Enrichment Topics:  Monday (Art) - Persian Art; Tuesday (Music) - Persian Instrument Making & Shaking; Wednesday (Culinary) - Arabic Food; Thursday (Craft) - Beading & Jewels.  Camp includes all supplies, campers must provide own lunch and snack.

Honk Jr.   (Ages 6 - 17) July 23 - August 3

Two weeks of fun!  Two weeks of fun!  Welcome to the farm and this contemporary retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling,”  with a score that is sure to delight your senses.  Campers will enjoy bringing farm animals to life in this extraordinary classic and enjoy the experience of creating a show in a fun, non-competitive environment where everyone is the star!  Arts Enrichment Topics:  Monday (Art) - Folk Art; Tuesday (Music) - Folk Music; Wednesday (Culinary) - Farm Fresh Cooking; Thursday (Dance) - Square Dancing.  Camp includes all supplies, campers must provide own lunch and snack.

Camps Tuition & Fees are as follows:

Full Day Camp (Performance Camp + Enrichment Camp)  $625 for 1st camp Session; $575 each additional camp session  9:00 - 4:30 Monday through Thursday; ;9:00 - 12 noon on Friday

Performance Camp Only $325 for 1st camp session; $300 each additional camp session
9:00 - 2:00 Monday through Thursday;9:00 - 12 noon on Friday

Early Care and/or Late care: $10 per day or $30 per week
8:00 - 9:00 AM Early Care Monday through Friday; 4:30 - 5:30 PM Late Stay Care Monday through Thursday only

Registration Fee: $20 includes camp t-shirt
Sibling Discounts: $25 off each additional child
Performance Dates of each camp*:

• Last Thursday evening at 7:30 PM
• Last Friday Morning at 10:00 AM
• *Honk Jr. performance dates are different

Camp Scholarships:

• Full and partial camp scholarships will be offered again this year.
• Applications will be accepted through March 1.
• Please e-mail arts.academy@fountaininn.org for scholarship application and information.  This will be sent to you on February 1.

From August 6 - August 10 we will offer daytime and evening “ART”ventures INN the arts to give our students expanded opportunities and workshops. Dates, times & costs will be available beginning June 1.

Emergency Release and Consent Form:

IN CONSIDERATION OF being permitted to participate in Summer Camp (“Event”), the undersigned, on behalf of my child and self:

• Acknowledges that the undersigned's participation in the Event may include activities that may be hazardous to the undersigned and assumes the risk of injury or harm associated with such participation.
• Releases and forever discharges the City of Fountain Inn, SC and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, affiliates, agents, representatives, subsidiary organizations, successors and assigns (collectively the "Releasees") of and from all liability, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action (collectively the "Claims") in respect of death, injury, loss or damage to myself or property howsoever caused, arising or to arise by reason of or during my participation in the Event, whether prior to, during or subsequent to my attendance and notwithstanding that any Claim may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of any of the Releasees.
• Indemnifies and holds harmless the Releasees from and against any and all liability incurred by any or all of them arising as a result of or in any way connected to my participation in the Event.
• Understands and acknowledges that the Sponsor does not carry or maintain health, medical or disability insurance coverage for the undersigned and therefore agrees to assume responsibility for such insurance coverage on the undersigned.
• Agrees that in the event that any provision of this Release and Indemnity is held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity or unenforceability of such provision will not affect the remaining provisions of this Release and Indemnity, which shall continue to be enforceable.
• Authorizes the Fountain Inn Center and its agents to acquire any medical care on behalf of my minor child in the event of an emergency.
• Authorizes the release of pictures and/or video of my child for the possible use in telecast, broadcast, promotional video, newspaper, printed material or advertising. These pictures and images will be used in a respectful manner.
• I acknowledge by signing this release form that I will receive no compensation or royalties associated with the use of these images.
• I hereby agree that all information provided is accurate.
